ORIGINAL KHS DUSTER 

This NOS KHS Duster was in the back room of a shop I recently shot, it's been sat on it's lonesome for well over 20 years. The bike came complete with a blank red number plate and cellophaned seat and grips. No rust, no dirt, no scratches and not for sale...Oh the cruelty...

Initially this was intended to be part of an eighties based photo series, unfortunately my camera found itself on it's last legs so this picture is flying solo for the time being.

TEST SHOOT: SICKLE

I've been playing around recently with various concepts trying to find my feet for my contribution towards a collaborative zine. Although I won't be using it, this photo was the result of one of many lighting experiments.

OVERSPILL #1

I had big plans for this week, prepping for creating my first set outdoors and what a surprise the UK weather has bailed on me...Again. So to fill in my enforced downtime I've scoured my various hard drives to put together a collection of black and white photographs that have never been used.
After the jump you'll find a small selection of digital, mobile phone, disposable and film camera shots as I used to welcome variety a few years back, which should have made me an experienced, well rounded photographer... It didn't, I'm impatient and now only shoot digital, go figure!!

Picked this old cookie up a while back as source material for an illustration that never materialized. It's an original photo of a '77 Trans am acquired from the archives of an American newspaper, for your viewing pleasure...

IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK... 

Dead Eye Zine has had a bit of an overhaul this week, moving away from tumblr to become a standalone blog. New format, new posts and projects to come following a four month hiatus from photography to join the world of 9-5 work so stay tuned.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Having a hard drive spring clean at the moment and found a quarter of the way finished video edit that I started back at the end of 2011, following the process of building and ageing a '69 Firebird. The car has been for the past year nothing more than a primed shell gathering dust a few cities away but I vow to shake a leg and commence the edit asap.
